FRP fencing is very good for creating a temporary or permanent boundary around very extensive open spaces and does not need to be earthed, as traditional metal fencing does, nor does it require any of the other care and maintenance procedures such as anti-rust treatments and painting, significantly reducing the costs and amortizing them over time.
Among its uses in open spaces, in addition to industrial fencing, this FRP fencing system is used as a boundary for electrical substations, geothermal power stations, high voltage pylons, live plant in general, and lastly transformer buildings, due to its insulating properties and the protection it provides from electromagnetic discharges.
Since it is totally non-magnetic and radio transparent, FRP fencing is also very suitable for use in airports or radio stations, where even the smallest interference could compromise the security of the places themselves.
Within factories, FRP fencing provides additional safety since it is used as a boundary around high voltage devices and other potentially hazardous equipment.
